Governor of the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan posted the following on his Facebook page:

“Dear compatriots. I regret to inform that resident of Mets Masrik village of Gegharkuni Province Robert Yeghiazaryan, who was severely wounded after the Azerbajiani shelling on October 1, died at Mikayelyan Hospital in Yerevan.

Doctors were battling to save the life of the citizen who was wounded after peaceful settlements of Armenia were targeted, but unfortunately, they failed.

Once again, this shows Azerbaijan’s aggressive and genocidal policy against the Armenian people that is being implemented on the ground of ethnic hatred. All genocidal crimes of Azerbaijan aimed at targeting and destroying the peaceful population must be strictly condemned.”
