President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has slammed the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk ahead of their upcoming meeting with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Why wasn’t the Minsk Group able to solve the issue for the past 28 years? Visits, meetings, negotiations — we are sick and tired of those negotiations. How long can you negotiate with the enemy?” he said.
Aliyev declared that he has raised the issue of sanctioning Armenia before the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, adding that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has been frozen for many years and this has favored everyone and first and foremost Armenia, except for Azerbaijan.
“The situation was in their favor. They tried to force us to acknowledge it, but we changed the reality, and this needs to be taken into consideration,” Aliyev added.
