Armenia has facts about the participation of Turkey and foreign mercenaries in Azerbaijan's military aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia. Rafayel Vardanyan, head of the Criminal-Legal Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, stated this at Tuesday’s press conference.

He presented chronologically some of the data on the respective deliberate crimes of the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to him, it can be confirmed that this aggression had actually started in the summer when on July 12-17, the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked some combat positions and non-combat facilities located in the deep rear of Armenia.

But being unsuccessful, the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan developed and carried out an act of aggression with the direct participation and support of Turkey.

As per Vardanyan, the respective beginning can be dated July 29 when Azerbaijan and Turkey started joint military exercises which lasted until August 10. But after the exercise, high-ranking Turkish officers and servicemen remained in Azerbaijan.

According to the Investigative Committee data, on September 26, about 1,000 Turkish soldiers were transferred to Azerbaijan.

On September 28, data were received about the participation of Arabic-speaking Islamists and terrorists, too.

There are also reports of the possible transfer of another 800 militants from Syria.

On October 1, information was ascertained about the participation of militants from Pakistan as well.

On October 4, at least 300 Turkish troops were in Ganja, Azerbaijan, Earlier, they were in Afrin and Idlib regions of Syria.

"There are many facts. The data were obtained in cooperation with the National Security Service and the Ministry of Defense [of Armenia]," added Rafayel Vardanyan, also presenting some photo evidence of the mercenaries' participation.
