Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan today met with the French parliamentary delegation, which includes current and former deputies, as well as reporters.

Tatoyan presented Azerbaijan’s actions against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia that are targeted against peaceful civilians and military infrastructures, noting that there are 2 killed and 2 wounded among the population of Armenia, as well as damaged houses. According to Tatoyan’s information, there are at least 39 killed and 120 wounded in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

“The targeting of the peaceful population and application of prohibited weapons against them, the involvement of terrorist mercenaries, the inhumane treatment by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces towards Armenian prisoners of war and Armenophobia attest to the fact that the objective is to carry out ethnic cleansing through terrorist methods in Artsakh,” Tatoyan stated and presented concrete evidence of this.

Tatoyan also touched upon the targeting of reporters in Artsakh.

At the end, Tatoyan urged the French parliamentary delegation to visit Artsakh to meet with the Human Rights Defender and civil society and record the destruction caused and atrocities carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
