During today’s briefing, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said Russia is concerned over the deaths of peaceful civilians as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“Russia is extremely concerned over the deaths of peaceful civilians of both sides of the conflict,” Zakharova stressed, adding that Moscow has aspired to reach a speedy ceasefire and move the situation to the field of negotiations right from the start of the war. Zakharova recalled that tomorrow the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are scheduled to meet with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in Geneva and that the issues related to international humanitarian law and fulfillment of the October 10 ceasefire agreement reached in Moscow are on the agenda.
