YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Armenia's economic activity index increased by 10.6 percent in a month.

Zhoghovurd daily was informed by the RA Statistical Committee [(SC)] that in September of this year, as compared to August, the volumes of industrial production in Armenia increased by 3.1 percent.

In September of this year, compared to August, the volume of construction increased by 9.4 percent, and trade turnover - by 5.2 percent.

It should be noted that the Statistical Committee has not yet published the indicators of the agricultural sector for August-September, but the data for January-September of this year are presented; an increase of 0.5 percent was registered in one year.

The Statistical Committee of Armenia registered a 0.2-percent deflation in the consumer market.

Zhoghovurd daily also learned from official data that the volumes of export and import have significantly increased during a month, according to the SC data, the growth of exports was 8.7 percent, imports - 2.7 percent.
