The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission today appoved the draft decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to grant the status of observer of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) to Cuba.
The final decision will be made by the heads of states of the Union.
Earlier, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council had informed about Cuba’s desire to obtain the status of observer of the EEU. The heads of states have been assigned to conduct joint consulations with Cuba to clarify the technical issues and prospects for cooperation.
