Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev has warned that extremist Islamists are becoming active in the country, RIA Novosti reported.

Patrushev says they are working on making citizens not following Islam to convert to Islam, adding that extreme Islamic fundamentalists are disseminating their ideology with the purpose of “engaging the youth in unlawful activities”.
