YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: Back on October 19, Silvio Magliano, a member of the Turin council of elders, had put into circulation at the city council a draft to petition to the Italian government, with a request to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] Republic.

The draft had said: "A strong political value and an act with a human content are necessary. In this way, we will not only help to restore the historical and current truth, but also help to stop the ongoing major military attacks which lead to many casualties and a large number of wounded among civilians, and the destruction of infrastructures."

However, Magliano mentioned in a conversation with Zhoghovurd daily yesterday that so far there has been no discussion in the city council. Moreover, according to him, it seems that the council wants to put off the [respective] discussion. "The Turin city council is working to put off the discussion of my proposal. [But] it will be discussed and voted on in the coming days," he noted.
