Protesters who deny the existence of COVID-19 and object to restrictions to curb the pandemic’s spread in Spain clashed with police in Barcelona on Friday, Reuters reported.

About 50 demonstrators threw bricks and fireworks at police and set fire to garbage containers in the city, police said.

Catalonia police said on Twitter that 20 people had been injured and 12 others were detained in the clashes.

Also, two shops were robbed, and some police cars were damaged.
