I can only say that the necessary efforts are being made. This is what Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters during a briefing in parliament today, touching upon the question whether the consultations between Armenia and Russia have begun and how long they will last.

Asked what consultations are being held, who is holding them and what the results will be, the deputy foreign minister said the following: “You assume that I will say who has consulted with whom and what agreement has been reached? The only thing I can say is that there has been an application. During this war, I would advise reporters to try to contribute to the consolidation of society with their questions and activities. We are in a war,” he said in an outrage and left.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am had reported that on October 31 Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan addressed President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to launch immediate consultations to define the types and amount of support that the Russian Federation can provide to Armenia to ensure its security.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded that the Russian Federation will fulfill its obligations stated in the bilateral agreement, if hostilities take place in the territory of Armenia.
