Archaeologist, leader of the expedition of Tigranakert in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Hamlet Petrosyan today posted on his Facebook page that the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan have shelled the archaeological camp of Tigranakert, showed photos of the shelling and sounded the alarm about cultural genocide in Artsakh.
Excavations have been carried out in Tigranakert since 2006. In August 2020, archaeologists discovered valuable items there. A rich material for study was found in an old Christian square and ancient districts.
