The war in Nagorno-Karabakh, the situation in Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are leading to decrease of economic activity in the CIS, and several role-players are taking advantage of this instability to compete unfaithfully. This is what Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin said during the session of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments today, RIA Novosti reported.

Mishustin also emphasized that the CIS countries must continue to stay close economic partners in this situation.

“Economic activity has decreased in CIS countries, as well as in all parts of the world. The situation is also becoming complicated due to the difficult situation in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan and the escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh,” he said.

According to him, certain members of the international community are trying to take advantage of the pandemic and the instability in the world to be at an advantage in terms of economy and politics and are imposing their vision for economic processes.
