Spokesperson of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov says there is nothing mentioned about the presence of Turkish soldiers in this territory in the text regarding the trilateral statement on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Interfax reported.

“There is nothing mentioned about this [presence of Turkish soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh] in the text of the published statement. The parties haven’t agreed on this. The deployment of Turkish soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh hasn’t been agreed,” Peskov said, adding that there has truly been a conversation about the creation of a center for monitoring the conditions of the ceasefire in the territory of Azerbaijan.

This is how the Kremlin’s representative commented on President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s statement that Turkish soldiers will also be deployed along with Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In response to the specifying question whether by saying Azerbaijani territories he means the regions kept by Baku in Nagorno-Karabakh, Peskov said the following “No, that is not Nagorno-Karabakh.”
