Russian peacekeepers are demining the Lachin corridor linking Armenia and Karabakh, Interfax reported referring to deputy commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent Alexey Polyukhovich.

According to the military, the bodies of the dead are now being exchanged and the road is being cleared of explosive devices and unexploded ordnance.

He added that the military is ready to ensure the safety of the convoys returning to Karabakh.

Russian peacekeepers are engaged in engineering reconnaissance and mine clearance of roads throughout Nagorno-Karabakh. Besides, they will also remove broken vehicles from public roads.

Traffic has been restored in Stepanakert, as well as electricity and water supply to social facilities and residential buildings, the department noted.
