YEREVAN. – Supporters of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are threatening opposition figures, and anarchy is spreading in the country. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, said this during Thursday’s briefings in the National Assembly.

According to the MP, after Wednesday evening’s demonstration by the supporters of the authorities, people in military uniforms threatened to break into the houses of the opposition representatives. "I have been saying since November 10 that we receive shameful threats, I continue to receive them, about which I say openly; this is a serious problem for our families. We are under constant pressure; our safety is not ensured," Marukyan stressed.

The opposition lawmaker added that anarchy was spreading in Armenia on a daily basis. "There are no rules and laws, there are no restraining forces, everyone says what he wants, threatens whoever he wants, hits whoever he wants; this disgrace must be stopped," Edmon Marukyan said.
