The European Union could pay more than $ 10 billion for hundreds of millions of doses of coronavirus vaccines being developed by Pfizer-BioNTech and CureVac, an EU spokesman who participated in the talks told Reuters

The EU has agreed to pay 15.5 euros for one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, the official said. Thus, the total price for 200 million doses will be up to 3.1 billion euros and will rise to 4.65 billion euros if another 100 million doses are purchased under the transaction, the official added.

Previously undisclosed pricing report confirms that the EU pays a lower price per dose than the US.
