Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov hopes UN agencies actively offer their support to the parties in Nagorno-Karabakh, RIA Novosti reported.

“It is necessary to stimulate the UN agencies (UN High Commissioner for Refugees, World Food Programme, UNESCO) to actively offer their capabilities to the parties. The representatives of the UN know about those capabilities best. Russia has called on the ‘trio’ of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and other members of the OSCE Minsk Group and the UN Security Council to encourage the active efforts of international organizations in every way,” the minister said during a consultation with representatives of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh.
