President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Haroutyunyan today had a meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

The parties discussed the future actions with regard to the situation created in Armenia after the war.

“We have experienced difficult times and have made difficult decisions. Now, as we agreed, we need to concentrate our efforts to restore normal life in Artsakh, ensure the return of our compatriots and provide conditions for their return. The Government of Armenia has already adopted a number of decisions that concern the provision of financial assistance to our compatriots of Artsakh. I have published a roadmap which I am sure you have read, and we discussed the roadmap during the meeting. Here our key objective is to restore normal life in Artsakh. The other objective is to ensure social guarantees for the families of deceased servicemen and citizens, find out the destinies of missing persons as soon as possible, ensure social guarantees for their families and implement social and psychological activities for servicemen and citizens who became disabled. After the war, Armenia and Artsakh need large investments, and we need to work together to ensure investments,” Pashinyan stated.

Haroutyunyan informed that Armenians of Artsakh are returning to Artsakh at a rather rapid pace and that, based on the data of the registration center, 25,000 people have returned in the past five days. Haroutyunyan also extended thanks for the response of the Government of Armenia to the social issues.
