Nobody has answered our questions and fulfilled their promises. This is what a parent of a serviceman missing in action told deputy of the ruling My Step faction of the National Assembly Andranik Kocharyan near the Ministry of Defense today.

The parents of servicemen missing in action have gathered near the Ministry of Defense and are demanding answers to their questions.

“We haven’t heard from our children for two months. I provided all the information about my son, but nobody processed the information,” one of the parents said.

Another parent addressed the deputy and said if the authorities are powerless, they should tell the people so that they can address Russian troops to take action.

Andranik Kocharyan asked the parents to give him and MP Arman Babajanyan ten minutes to enter the Ministry of Defense and return to answer their questions.

Arsen Ghukasyan, one of the participants of the demonstration, told reporters that ex-defense minister Davit Tonoyan had assured him and the other parents that the Ministry of Defense was doing everything possible to retrieve the captives and are working with the International Committee of the Red Cross. “Based on my information, the Red Cross was supposed to be in Hadrut yesterday, but they weren’t because Azerbaijan didn’t let the representatives enter. This is why I say that if the Armenian authorities can’t handle the issue, we should ask the Russian troops or Russia to negotiate. We haven’t received information about any soldier to this day. I’m looking for my brother and his son. There is no information. I provided all the information I had. The minister said work is being done.”
