The Ministry of Defense of Russia reports that 32 buses have transported nearly 1,300 Armenians from Yerevan to the main square of Stepanakert in Nagorno-Karabakh. The buses were escorted by the Russian peacekeeping contingent and patrol officers of the military police. Russian servicemen ensured security for the movement of buses along the line of contact in order for the peaceful residents to return to their homes in Stepanakert.

Earlier, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov had informed that more than 2,300 refugees return to their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia on a daily basis. On Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense made an announcement about the return of 1,400 people to Stepanakert, and 1,100 people returned on Saturday. Overall, since November 14, more than 11,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh have returned with the help of Russian peacekeepers.
