If the people demand, we will step down, and I am ready to bear my share of responsibility. This is what member of the My Step faction of the Council of Elders of Yerevan Municipality Levon Zakaryan said during today’s session.
Zakaryan also condemned the violence against the Speaker of the National Assembly and the disturbances within state institutions on the night of November 10.
Leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction Mikayel Manrikyan seconded Zakaryan and condemned the attack that Pashinyan’s supporters made on the Public Radio in 2018, adding that the government has failed in all sectors and this is why the people are demanding Pashinyan’s and his cabinet’s resignation.
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Hrachya Sargsyan didn’t agree with Manrikyan and said there has been success in, say, landscaping.
Member of the My Step faction Grigor Yeritsyan said members of his faction might even drop their mandates, but in this phase, he called on renouncing such actions and combining efforts to solve the current problems.
