Based on the results recorded between January and September, the economic activity indicator has dropped in Armenia, according to the data provided by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

According to preliminary data, there was a 6.6% drop of the economic activity indicator in the reporting period. Despite the drop of annual indicators and sharp deterioration of the indicators in March and April, the situation began to become somewhat stable starting from May.

Starting from May, the monthly economic activity indicators have grown compared with the previous months. Based on the results in September, the economic activity indicator grew by 10.6% compared with August.

However, the country didn’t succeed in achieving the pre-crisis indicators. Compared with September 2019, the indicators of the same period in 2020 dropped by 7.5%. In the reporting period, foreign trade turnover comprised $5 billion, which is 10.5% less than the same indicator of the previous year. In January-September, export made up nearly $1,830,000,000.
