Chair of the Armenia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan posted the following on his Facebook page:

“As you know, social networks recently disseminated news that certain Armenian servicemen are located in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Despite the fact that the news hasn’t been confirmed in the official statements of Armenia and Iran, citizens of Armenia continue to send letters demanding that the authenticity of the news is specified.

As chair of the Armenia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group, I held several phone talks with different colleagues, and a short while ago, I also had a meeting with Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Artashes Tumanyan, who said this news still hasn’t been confirmed.”
