Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan posted the following on his Facebook page:

“The “issue of gates” in the sector of Sotk in Armenia is actually deeply negative.

Figuratively speaking, this means that, in essence, the gates of Armenia as a state are unprotected and the enemy can open or close them upon its discretion.

The prospect for our homeland’s security has never been this turbid since the declaration of independence, and the first one to blame for this is the authorities, which support lies and hatred, symbolize the painful defeat and aren’t capable of responding to the new challenges that Artsakh and Armenia face almost every day.”
