Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan today chaired the enlarged session of the Interagency Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons.
Several issues related to the negotiations over the exchange of prisoners of war and the search for detection of missing persons were discussed during the meeting.
The participants of the session thoroughly touched upon the problems with social security of and psychological support to the families of deceased, missing and wounded servicemen and the prompt provision of comprehensive information about the recent developments to the family members. They also discussed the issue on accelerating efforts to identify the bodies of deceased servicemen.
Avinyan assigned the heads of government agencies to provide solutions to the current problems as soon as possible.
The public will also be provided with information about the government’s efforts for the return of prisoners of war and detection of missing persons on a regular basis.
