Famous film director and TV presenter Tigran Keosayan expressed hope that the success of the Armenian football team will stimulate Armenians’ interest in football.

“Armenia has experienced many hardships within the recent years, earthquake, war, blockade and one should take it indulgently. It seems weightlifting, wrestling and football are the most popular sports in the country. I hope the Armenian team’s achievements will stimulate interest in football in the country. The Armenian team plays a quick impressive football. Unfortunately, I would not say the same about the Russian team,” Keosayan said in an interview with Sovsport.
