UK government signed an agreement Sunday to provide the country with an additional Noubar Afeyan's Moderna company COVID-19 vaccine 2 million doses, the UK government's press service reported.
It brings the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses provided to the UK to 7 million.
According to the agreement, the UK now has access to a sufficient number of doses of the drug for about 3.5 million people.
If approved by the FDA, the vaccine will reach the UK by spring 2021.
Overall, the government has secured 357 million doses of vaccines from seven different developers.
