Copper prices are rising sharply since November 2016, Prime reported referring to trading data.

The value of March copper futures on the Comex exchange rose 1.87% to $ 3.4815 per pound - nearly 0.45 kilograms.

According to Friday's trading at the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost of a ton of copper for delivery in three months increased by 1.31% to $ 7499.5, aluminum - by 1.14%, to $ 1998.5, zinc - by 1,25%, up to $ 2795 per ton.

In the last weeks of the month, the markets are dominated by optimistic sentiment, supported by hopes for a speedy recovery of the global economy after the crisis caused by the coronavirus. Earlier in November, many campaigns reported successes in trials of COVID-19 vaccines.
