YEREVAN. – A meeting of the Military Industry Committee of Armenia—and chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan—took place at the government Tuesday.

In his opening remarks, Pashinyan touched upon the establishment of the military-industrial complex in Armenia. "Also given the new situation, we probably need to sum up what happened in the previous period, the shortcomings of the previous period, and determine what realistic programs we can have in the field of military industry," the PM said in particular.

Subsequently, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan presented a report on the work done by the military industry of Armenia and its current situation.

The next discussion was about the directions of development and what to do next in the conditions of the post-war realities.

Reforms in Armenia’s education system and meeting the demand for specialists in military industry were considered a priority.

Also, the list of special scientific research and experimental design for 2020-2021 was presented.
