YEREVAN. – At the end of their march of unity in the capital Yerevan Monday, numerous intellectuals of Armenia handed their letter to the French embassy.

This march was aimed to support the relatives of Armenian soldiers and servicemen, and to raise respective awareness by all leading international organizations

Renowned actor Hrant Tokhatyan expressed hope to the reporters that the aforesaid letter will be read and they hope to get a reply.

He informed at 1pm Tuesday, these intellectuals will meet outside the US embassy. " In the evening, we are waiting for the response of the Russian embassy, and tomorrow—for the response of the French embassy," Tokhatyan added in particular.

The actor said that they also hand the copies of these letters to the Armenian ombudsman’s office and the office of Armenia’s representative before the ECHR. "Similar letters have already been handed by our community to the Spanish government and other embassies, as well as to the Red Cross and the Human Rights Defender's office; the same has been done in France, USA, Italy, Poland, Lithuania [as well]," he added.

And to the question whether the Armenian authorities had responded to their initiatives, Tokhatyan said not yet. "I believe by handing the letter to the United States [embassy], we will hand a similar letter to our government, too," he added.
