Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent have demined about 10 km of roads in Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] and defused about 1,000 explosives in the Lachin [(Berdzor)] corridor, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement

The ministry added that the Russian peacekeepers also ensure the security of the repairing of power transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, communication lines, and transformer substations.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.
