Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on Wednesday received Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

First, deputy PM thanked the Russian side for its key role in the cessation of the recent hostilities and the establishment of a ceasefire in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The exchange of POWs, and the search for missing persons and for the bodies of the casualties were discussed during the meeting.

Ambassador Kopirkin noted that the finding of the POWs, the missing and the bodies of the dead is in the focus of the Russian leadership, which attaches special importance to the implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statement that was signed on November 9.

Deputy PM Avinyan, in turn, underscored Russia's assistance in resolving the humanitarian problems of the people of Artsakh, and stressed the need for international humanitarian organizations to enter Artsakh without disruption.
