YEREVAN. –The Council of the National Assembly (NA) has made an addition to its decision to petition to the Constitutional Court (CC) on the matter of terminating the parliamentary powers of Gagik Tsarukyan—opposition Prosperous Armenia Party leader, head of its parliamentary faction, and business tycoon; we learn about this from the official website of the parliament.

Accordingly, a special meeting of the NA Council was held on Wednesday. Its agenda was the draft decision on making an addition to the Council’s November 24 decision to petition to the Constitutional Court on the matter of terminating the parliamentary powers of Tsarukyan. Subsequently, this draft decision was debated on and approved by the NA Council.

To note, the grounds for the decision to petition to the Constitutional Court on aforesaid matter was an article of the Constitution and a conclusion by the Corruption Prevention Commission "On the National Assembly MP’s violation of the requirements of incompatibility."
