YEREVAN. – At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia decided to provide monetary compensation in case of destruction during the recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war; but this compensation refers to real estate, whereas an additional government measure will be presented for movable property.

To PM Nikol Pashinyan's question, "Are we convinced that the citizens' damage is fully compensated?," a positive response was given. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan said, however, that there will be an exception only in one case when the property has been completely destroyed; in other cases, the damage is small.

As for the family whose house was completely destroyed, additional discussions are underway to provide a separate accommodation.

A total of 75 real estates were damaged in Armenia by the Azerbaijani army attacks.

Thus, people will receive money from the government to restore their real estate; this mainly refers to the residents of Syunik and Gegharkunik Provinces.
