Argishti Mekhakyan, an MP of the ruling My Step bloc of Armenia, giving up his parliamentary seat; he announced this on Facebook.
"Due to the situation on the ground, I assess the resource of my parliamentary mandate as insufficient to address the challenges, and I have made a decision to give up my [respective] mandate," Mekhakyan wrote in particular.
To note, Argishti Mekhakyan is the son of the legendary commander Mekhak Mekhakyan who had liberated Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the early 1990s.
