France is not going to follow the logic of alliance policy towards China. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, commenting on the prospects for Europe-China relations in the light of the forthcoming change of the US administration.
"In relations with China, we do not want to follow the logic of 'alliance against alliance,'" the French FM told Le Journal du Dimanche.
According to Le Drian, Europe views China as both a partner, an opponent, and a systemic adversary.
