Joe Biden has sworn in as US President. He pronounced the traditional text of the oath with his left hand on the Bible which has belonged to his family since 1899 and became the 46th President of the United States of America.

“Accept my congratulatory remarks, Mr. President,” said Sonya Sotomayor, who was standing in front of him and accepted the oath.
