During the second Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war, deliberate damage was caused by the weapons used by the Azerbaijani armed forces to the forested areas of Syunik and Tavush Provinces of Armenia, according to the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Environment, the ministry informed on Facebook.

As a result, an area of 55.91 hectares was burned down in Syunik, and 481 hectares—in Tavush, the ministry added.
