The Prime Minister of Armenia and his team have been offered to sign a memorandum stating that I will be elected Prime Minister. However, before the signing of the memorandum, we have agreed that I will resign on October 1 and won't run in the election. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, said this at Thursday’s traditional briefing of the National Assembly.

“The three political forces reach an agreement on the nomination of their respective candidates, and we will hold elections after the parliament is dissolved in October,” Marukyan explained.
