Former Governor of Shirak Province of Armenia Tigran Petrosyan posted the following on his Facebook page:

“Dear compatriots, residents of Shirak Province, the Prime Minister of Armenia has accepted my application to resign from the post of governor of Shirak Province.

I am thankful for the great trust to be the governor of Shirak Province one of the provinces of Armenia with the greatest potential. I also thank the residents of Shirak Province, the local and international partners, the local self-government bodies of the province and mass media outlets for their support and cooperation to solve the issues facing the province in this difficult period.

Dear journalists, I will answer your questions of concern during a briefing to be held in the next few days.”
