YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: We receive many reports that "driver" is broadly noted for status in the military service books of the demobilized servicemen.

The thing is that drivers are not considered participants in hostilities and [therefore] do not benefit from the privileges envisioned for soldiers. This is especially done so that soldiers who may be [university] students in the future do not benefit from the 100-percent tuition reimbursement regarding which the government adopted a decision in December.

Let us remind that this topic had caused a great stir after the April [2016] war, too, when the military service books did not state that the soldiers had taken part in the hostilities, and it was only after the uproar raised by the press about it that corrections were being made.
