I, with some of my friends, will be in front of the National Assembly as of 11am, and I will make life difficult to the misunderstandings that undermine the state; Sos Hakobyan, the spokesman for Armenia’s opposition Homeland Party, wrote this on Facebook.

"A special sitting is scheduled in the National Assembly at 12 o'clock to elect [new] members of the Supreme Judicial Council. There is no doubt that the government is trying to hang the sword of Damocles on the head of the independence of the judiciary [in Armenia], trying to destroy the last pillar that counterbalances the culpability of the state system," Hakobyan added.
