During today’s special session of the National Assembly of Armenia, candidate for member of the Supreme Judicial Council Davit Khachaturyan said he supports the idea of establishing a Supreme Court through unification of the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation.

On August 24, 2020, with 8 votes “in favor” and 7 votes “against”, the Professional Commission on Constitutional Reforms approved the concept paper on the creation of a Supreme Court through unification of the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation.
