Deputies of the ruling faction of the National Assembly of Armenia still have problems in Armenian society after Armenia was embarrassingly defeated in the war.

After Nikol Pashinyan made the statement on giving nearly 75% of the lands of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to the enemy on November 9, most of the ruling party’s deputies went underground in order to avoid the society’s reprehension. However, it was during those days when the public showed an unfriendly attitude towards them and even subjected some of them to violence.

According to Pastinfo, some people tried to beat deputy of the ruling party Rustam Bakoyan, who had been hiding in his acquaintance’s house in the Ajapnyak district of Yerevan. The neighbors found out about this and tried to punish him for the ruling party’s defeatist policy. There was pushing and shoving, and the attendees used swear words against the deputy.

After the incident, Bakoyan rushed to the police station in Ajapnyak district and reported a crime. The deputy told the police that people had used swear words against him, tried to beat him and had damaged his car. Investigation is underway.
