YEREVAN. – The authorities plan to import a COVID-19 vaccine that has killed six people. It does not work in the UK, it is very expensive, and the situation there is awful. Dr. Gevorg Poghosyan stated about this during Saturday’s discussion of Armenian cultural, scholarly and artistic figures, referring to the decision according to which the Ministry of Health of Armenia plans to buy the British AstraZeneca vaccine against the coronavirus.

According to him, the Armenian authorities have decided to import this vaccine not to save lives, but simply to make money, otherwise they would import the Russian vaccine which is more effective. "One of the examples of poor work [in Armenia] is that a person who does not understand anything in that field is appointed Minister of Health. The society must fight against the authorities, just like against its enemies," Poghosyan added.
