Political figure Alexei Navalny’s supporters in Vladivostok must not take part in the January 24 protest, the opposition figure’s headquarters in Vladivostok reported, stating that the calls to participate in the protests on Sunday are provocations and that Navalny’s supporters didn’t organize the protests, Kommersant reported.

“News about some protest to be held on Sunday in Vladivostok was disseminated on social networks. We rush to inform that we haven’t announced anything, and we don’t know who the organizer is…We call on you to stay home today and not give in to provocations,” the headquarters reported on Facebook at 11:42 a.m. today.

According to Navalny’s supporters, power structures from other cities have been moved to Vladivostok. Moreover, the headquarters stated that Navalny’s supporters need to maintain strength until January 30.
