Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan on Sunday traveled to Martakert town, and met with the heads of the administration, communities, and enterprises of the Martakert region.

The President presented the post-war situation and the sequence of respective steps taken by the government, and noted the security, humanitarian and socioeconomic priorities that have formed the agenda of action for the public administration system.

Touching upon the program of settlement of the homeless in the communities of Martakert region, President Harutyunyan urged to further intensify the relevant efforts, emphasizing that in the near future the Artsakh government will create various opportunities for the economic activity of those who settle in the rural communities.

During the meeting, the President also answered the questions of those present.

Then Arayik Harutyunyan visited Martakert’s St. Hovhannes Karapet Church, which is under reconstruction, got acquainted with the construction works, and promised that the state will provide appropriate assistance to complete the reconstruction in a short time.
