Austrians are required to wear FFP2 high-protection respirators from January 25 in stores or on public transport instead of regular cloth masks, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz noted.
According to health minister Rudolf Anschober, the respirator protects more reliably. The Local reported the respirator will cost around € 1.
Sebastian Kurz also announced the extension of the lockdown in Austria until February 7.
