YEREVAN. – In 2020, more than 90 percent of state revenues were paid by various organizations through their payment of the VAT; there are 6,000 of them. Karen Tamazyan, Head of the Tax Administration Organization, Oversight and Monitoring Department of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, told this to a press conference on Monday.

According to him, the last group includes organizations, such as ministries, whose activities do not pursue any financial interests.

Tamazyan added that the number of jobs in Armenia was reduced from 620 thousand to 547 thousand in April 2020. "Despite the given reduction, the average monthly number of jobs was 609 thousand, whereas in 2019—602 thousand," the official assured.
